THE PERVERT’S GUIDE TO IDEOLOGY

Slovenian philosopher superstar Slavoj Žižek takes once more to the sets of various films to riff more or less off the cuff on the subjects of ideology, politics and subjectivity. He uses a rich array of well-known film scenes, from The Sound of Music to Taxi Driver by way of Titanic, to show how we come under the thrall of ideas, and to explore various modes of resistance to the “Big Other”.
