LEK AND THE DOGS

Kötting (Gallivant, Ivul) continues his fascination with examining the world through the eyes of the excluded and innocent with a highly experimental take on the extraordinary true story of Ivan Mishukov, who left his Moscow apartment at the age of four to live on the city streets, adopted by a pack of wild dogs. In a fantastic performance, Xavier Tchili complements the formal abstraction of the film by inhabiting the role of Lek with an intensity and commitment that conveys a universal sense of the alienation of the world through the feelings of a lost child.
