15-year-old Jack (Charlie Plummer), a delinquent stuck in a run-down small town, is trapped in a feud with an older bully and faces another bout of summer school. When his aunt falls ill and his younger cousin Ben (Cory Nichols) comes for the weekend the last thing Jack wants to do is look after him. Set over a hazy summer weekend, King Jack is a tough and tender coming-of-age story about friendship and finding happiness in bleak surroundings.
