A taboo horror with a strident orchestral score, nightmarish fish-eye angles and Lanthimos’s trademark deadpan dialogue. Charismatic surgeon Steven (Farrell), who is preoccupied with expensive watches and has curious sexual proclivities, and his stylish wife Ann (Kidman) and family fall to pieces in the face of a voodoo menace. He adopts the bizarre teenager Martin (Keoghan) into his family, but as Martin’s actions grow increasingly sinister Steven is forced to make a dreadful decision.
