JIMMY’S HALL

Set in the 1930s and based on the story of real-life political activist Jimmy Gralton, who returns to Ireland from ten years in exile in the United States following the Easter Rising. He reopens the Pearce-Connolly hall as a community centre for young people to meet, learn new skills, dance and talk, but soon arouses opposition from the Church and the authoritarian post-civil war government.
