INNOCENCE OF MEMORIES

Innocence of Memories, a film-essay from British director Grant Gee, is a meditation on the post-modern creation of Nobel prizewinner Orhan Pamu: ‘The Museum of Innocence’. Based in Istanbul, the museum displays a fascinating collection of objects and items that embody the culture and every-day life of the city. Viewed through a drifting, voyeuristic camera, Grant manages to breath life, memory and emotion into the inanimate objects- producing a very personal and highly enchanting vision of life. Singular, powerful and beautiful.
