GÜEROS

An irreverent sightseeing tour of Mexico City. Teenaged Tomas gets booted out of his house after accidentally dropping a water bomb on a crying baby. He hooks up with his brother Sombra and they set off on an adventure around town in a quest to find Epigmenio Cruz (Alfonso Charpener), a legendary folk singer who ‘once made Bob Dylan cry’. Shot in black and white, it is a scintillating exploration of stunted youth. Filled with dry deadpan humour and tender moments of romantic longing, Güeros captures the sense of a chaotic moment in the life of the nation.
