Director Agnès Varda and photographer/muralist JR journey through rural France and form an unlikely friendship. What Agnès Varda and JR have in common is their passion for images and for seeking new ways of sharing and showing them. They travel in JR’s special camera van (a photo booth that prints out large-scale portraits of its subjects), reaching out to the people they meet, sometimes photographing them and displaying them on giant posters.
