Documentary masquerading as romcom. Dina’s eponymous heroine is a 49-year-old woman with (as her Mother puts it) a smorgasborg of mental difficulties. Her fiance Scott has Asperger Syndrome and is not so keen on physical contact. The filmmakers (one of them has known Dina all his life) take an involving and poignant but unsentimental look at this romance during the days before and after the wedding.

Dina won the Grand Jury prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
