ARCHIPELAGO

Set and filmed on the Isles of Scilly, Joanna Hogg’s second film as director is a poignant portrait of a dysfunctional middle class family. Hogg holidayed as a child on the island which is at the heart of the film. Beautifully shot with attention to detail, Archipelago is the kind of family drama most British viewers can relate to. The BFI’s Michael Hayden has described Hogg as ‘one of the most intriguing and vital voices in modern British cinema’.
