ANGÈLE ET TONY

Angèle is a young woman falling apart. She arrives in a small fishing village in Normandy, fiercely determined to reconnect with her young son, yet also concerned that she is an unfit mother. She meets Tony, a middle-aged fisherman who lives with his widowed mother in emotional solitude. The two can't help but be attracted to each other, but as a fractured relationship builds, the secret Angèle harbours threatens to ruin their future. This award-winning feature début from Alix Delaporte is a work of subtle intimacy, about the need for human connection, featuring pitch-perfect, naturalistic performances from its two leads.
