2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY

A film that demands large screen viewing, 2001 is better seen as a work of philosophical speculation than a drama. A child of its time, it was built with such extraordinary loving care by the whole crew that in terms of sheer cinematic beauty it easily stands up to today’s SF spectacles. It examines such diverse themes as the prosthetic role of technology and artificial intelligence, bureaucratic paranoia, beyond the horizon futurism, spiritual evolution. One of the greatest films of all time.
